Description:   Sicilian type of pan tile with horizontal floor and two vertical side lips. The side lips rise 0.03 above the top horizontal surface. The side lips are 0.045 wide, tapering from thin upper to thick lower end of tile lip (based on the placement of the tile on the roof). Both side lips have been cut back for their whole height on one side of tile; nick goes in 0.092 from edge of tile.
Decoration:   Slip overall; brush marks on upper and lower surface.
Material:   Coarse very pale brown clay, fired pink at core, with common large to very large spherical rounded white lime, spherical, tabular and platy angular mudstone inlcusions and voids.
Munsell Color:   Surface: 10YR 8/4 (very pale brown), Core: 5YR 7/4 (pink)
Condition:   Complete profile. Eight joining frgts preserve complete profile, 2/3 tile, both long sides, part of corner of narrow side. Black spot on one preserved corner of tile with nick.
