Description:   Palmette antefix, broken at juncture with ridge cover tile. Antefix cut to follow decoration with flat face on either side.
Decoration:   Painted in black and red on reserved ground on both faces: Two broad bands which rise up from either corner, curving into middle where tied by crossbar, continuing above (missing) to end in scroll. Band and scroll black, crossbar red. Hanging down from crossbar is red heart, below which 3-petal palmette, central leaf black, others red. Single petal in angle below scroll. Outer edge of antefix black. On other face only one band preserved and 2/3 palmette.
Material:   Coarse clay fired yellowish at surface with dense amount of fine black inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Ca. 2.5Y 8/3
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving lower part of palmette, broken all around except one edge.
