Description:   Terracotta ridge palmette. Bottom of antefix ridged to fit Corinthian tiles. Sides rise from bottom in gentle convex curve. This ends at sharply pointed projection. Beyond, the sides continue upward in scallops, which outline the palmette leaves. Two tendrils rise from bottom and end in volutes. Between the tendrils a lozenge and to side of each a tear-drop motif. Palmette proper is above the volutes. Nine leaves spread out from arrow-head-shaped core. All these motifs reserved against black glaze background. Sides have solid red glaze.
Decoration:   Cream slip on exposed surfaces. Dull red and black glaze. Decoration on front and back.
Material:   Coarse pink clay, slightly micaceous with grog.
Condition:   Complete profile. Single piece broken at top and bottom and with considerable surface damage in the upper portion.
