Description:   Rt. end of sima consisting of vertical plaue H00.16, decorated in relief with acanthus spray: fluted stalk rising vertically from leaf at base, curving to rt., ending in furled leaf, from which curl two tendrils, each consisting of double convex coil spiralling once. Between them a spirally stem from which springs a furled leaf hanging down and rt., and a bud with two horizontal petals, grooved bud. Above deep groove sets off ovolo decorated in relief with egg-dot, fillet and fascia above. Top, rt. joint smooth.
Decoration:   Red in groove above panel, and between fillet and fascia.
Material:   Coarse clay with numerous fine black and scattered coarse black inclusions, fired light pinkish buff.
Munsell Color:   Pinker than 7.5YR 7/4
Condition:   Fragment. Two joining frgts., preserving right end, broken below at juncture to tile; panel and crowning moulding, edge of spout at left break.
