Description:   Sima with flat resting surface, tall fascia base moulding, vertical face or plaque set in 00.016.In relief, lt. to rt., two coils of a spiral, a half-opened acanthus leaf, from which springs a stalk. To rt. of leaf, just above base moulding is part of an inscription. Start of pan tile in back.
Writing:   stamp. Inscription in low relief, just above base moulding, to rt. of acanthus leaf, Greek: ] D I [. Poss. Aphrodisiou? See Corinth 18.3 Arch. cat. no. 40, FS-0144, -0145, -0259, -0821, -0822, -0913.
Material:   Coarse clay fired light brown at surface to orange core with 5-7% fine to coarse angular spherical mudstone inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Surface: slightly redder than 10YR 7/4
Condition:   Single frgt., preserving small part of resting surface, bottom moulding, lower third of face; broken top, either end and back. Signature incomplete.
