Description:   Lionhead spout with deeply furrowed brow, heavy rounded browridge, incised groove outlining eye with sharp lids; wrinkleon top of nose, curving up toward eye, 5 incised whiskers, nose flat in front with outlined nostrils; crinkled upper lip, teeth carefully carved.
Material:   Tan clay with frequent fine red, rare coarse red mudstone inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Redder than 10YR 7/4
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., left half of head from brows to upper jaw, broken at base of mane locks.
