Description:   Lateral sima with part of flat pan tile, fascia tilted back 10 degrees from vertical, inset vertical panel decorated in relief with acanthus spray, crowning moulding, sloping top surface covered with knife marks. Panel: fluted stalk curves out to rt. from acanthus leaf at bottom, narrow cross-band before tip. Two tendrils spiral from tip, with concave channels, rt. spiral larger than lt. Attachment for lion-head spout, but surface broken. Anathyrosis on rt. joint, back edge of which cut at bevel. No overlapping flange but back surface has channel cut 00.05 m. in from edge, 00.028-00.03 m. wide, 00.009 m. max. depth, to receive flange from next tile. Note: on back 6 or 9 in circle in pencil (not old Inv. No.)
Decoration:   Soffit: reserved astragalos on black ground, W00.058, broad red band W00.036, knife marks behind. Fascia: maeander IIa; acanthus spray reserved on black ground, red on tips of acanthus leaves.
Material:   Coarse yellow-buff clay with dense admixture of fine to coarse black (to 3 mm.) mudstone inclusions and at least one large red (00,016), slip same.
Munsell Color:   2.5Y 7/4
Condition:   Missing parts. Single frgt., preserving nearly complete profile, from soffit to top, surface of crowning moulding completely broken away; joint at right, at left half of attachment for lionhead spout.
