Description:   Enormous sima with flat cyma reversa profile, above which outset narrow cyma reversa and narrow fascia. Upper surface horizontal. Overlapping joint at lt. consisting of front flange 00.085-00.10+ m. long and 00.045-00.05+ m. thick. Set back is 00.03-00.04+ m. thick. All surfaces slipped.
Decoration:   On cyma in light-on-black ground: drooping 7-petalled (?) palmette with tips bent down and painted red; 9-petalled flower, with tall central petal, round-tipped; others have two spikes each, pointed upwards, outline in black with red above on lt. half of flower, right petals reversed. Heart is an elongated triangle with concave sides, painted rt. half black, lt. half red with reversed outline. Between two is a tendril with two scrolls, reserved, from center of which is bud ($Mycenaean lily$). On narrow cyma lesbian leaf painted black with diamond-shaped reserved center, reserved dart against red ground. Fascia plain. Cf. FS-XXXX-49, -58 for more of same. Irregular circle painted on back in red. 2nd on top in black with central dot or stroke (ancient ?)
Material:   Coarse clay fired gray to pink to buff, with large (to 9mm) black mudstone inclusions. Thin surface slip.
Munsell Color:   Back slip 2.5Y 7/3
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., broken at bottom of cyma, to top, preserving lt. joint, broken at right. Surface worn and scratched.
