Description:   Lateral sima with probably flat panel, above which astragalos, ovolo, projecting fascia. Flat upper surface. Lionhead spout projecting in high relief from panel. Astragalos modelled plastically with bead-reel, egg-dart on ovolo. Fascia plain. Lion mane rendered by single long tufts deeply incised with 2-3 lines, small round ear. Low brow with deep central furrow; eyebrow and upper lid incised, deep dot for iris, lower lid outlined. FLat muzzle with gouged nostrils, 3 strokes on either side for whiskers. Straight row of incised upper teeth, strongly projecting tongue, with side teeth rendered plastically. Faint traces of black paint on mane, around face.
Material:   Moderately fine clay with scattered fine black inclusions some voids. Scattered coarse inclusions, fired pink at core, to yellow-buff at surfaces.
Munsell Color:   2.5Y 6/4 to yellower than 20YR 7/4 (surface)
Condition:   Fragment. Three joining frgts., preserving crowning moulding of sima with all of spout except locks on right side of face, bit of left jaw.
