Description:   Lionhead spout from lateral sima broken at juncture with crowning moulding. Spout features single row of long mane locks, each with 2-3 deep grooves. Very low projecting brow with stipples along ridge, deep set eye with stippled upper lid, pierced iris in raised pupil.
Material:   Fine clay with few coarse dark inclusions, fired light pinkish buff below surface to brown at surface with poss. light pink slip on surface.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 5/5 (surface) Slightly yellower than 7.5YR ;;;6/4 (slip)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving left brow and mane, part of right brow, left eye.
