Description: | Lateral sima with lionhead spout, broken above at juncture with crowning moulding. Spout features single row of long mane locks each with 2-3 grooves. Very low brow with heavy stippled ridge, stippling continuing down nose; deep-set eyes, with stippled upper lid, almond-shaped bulging pupil with deep hole for iris. Diagonal slash cutting through cheek. | |
Material: | Surface crackled from firing. Fine clay with possibly few scattered inclusions, fired buff at core, yellowish-gray at surface. | |
