Description:   Sima with fascia at base, unarticulated from cyma reversa above; above this, outset cyma reversa crowning moulding, upper half of which worn away. Top surface slopes at ca. 20 degree angle from horizontal.
Decoration:   All surfaces slipped. Soffit: border 00.066 m. wide: bead-reel with round beads, pointed reel, light on black ground, broad band (W00.023) of red-brown paint. Face: fascia: Maeander IIa in black on reserved ground, with red outline around checkerboard. Cyma: anthemion with 11-petal palmette with diamond-shaped central petal, drooping petals with rounded to sharply cut tips, oval heart with red center; lotus with 4 founded drooping petals, diamond-shaped central one, over sepals outlined in red. Beneath, tendril marking loop under lotus. All light on dark. Lesbian-leaf above: leaf solid black with dilute glaze outline which makes round dot between leaves. Dart reserved against purple red ground.
Material:   Coarse buff clay with numerous fine to coarser (to 6mm) black mudstone inclusions. Fine surface slip.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/3 slip
Condition:   Complete profile. Single frgt., complete profile except for face of crowning moulding; broken at start of tile at back, either end.
