Description:   Lateral Sima with large-scale lion head spout, above which bead-reel and small part of egg-dart in relief on crowning moulding. Lion-head surrounded by single, long mane locks, each grooved 2-3 times; low brow with stippling along brow ridge and continuing down towards muzzle. Deep-set eye with stippled upper lid, raised pupil, deep hole for iris. Deep oblique groove through cheek. Flat muzzle with deep holes for nostrils with incised line from each to mouth, 3 incised whiskers. Tongue extended, squared teeth separated by incised lines.
Material:   Surface crackled, from firing ? fired yellowish-tan, to buff at core; clay basically fine with few coarse scattered red and black inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Ca. 10YR 7/4 (core)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., lt. half head, part of crowning mouldings. Some cement adhering.
