Description:   From eaves tile.
Decoration:   The front edge of the tile is decorated with a guilloche pattern (2 segments preserved on this fragment), carefully worked. The fragment is damaged in such a way that the indications of the centers' being laid out is not preserved; circular elements are inscribed with a compass. The guilloche consists of a central eye and spirals painted black (have traces of red disappeared?). The spirals consist of a broad painted band (ca. 0.015 m.) enclosed by 2 reserved bands (0.007 m.). Centers of circles are apparently 0.054 m. apart (the length of one segment of the the pattern). Red paint preserved on bottom is possibly the remains of an adhesive.
Material:   Hard yellowish-buff clay with much black grit; fine yellow slip.
Condition:   Fragment. Most of bottom and part of right side preserved; broken at top, left, back, bottom front.
