Description:   Block. Preserved sides smoothed and slant inward from the back to the inscribed surface at an angle of 45 degrees. Back picked, it contains a pry hole and a round pin hole.
Writing:   inscribed. Parts of fourteen lines written in Latin preserved. The first two lines and the whole left part are not preserved and have been reconstructed. The text reported is that by Kajava (2002: 177). Alternative readings were offered by Kent (1966:70-73, cat.153)
Material:   White marble
Condition:   Fragment. Single fragment. Re-cut for the base of a Byzantine half-column. Much of the right margin has been cut away.
Dimensions Preserved:   H. 0.875 m, W. 0.296 m, Th. 0.19 m
Period:   Early Roman (44BC-1/2 2nd c AD)
Chronology:   AD 25 (Kent 1966: 70-73); Claudian or Neronian (Kajava 2002: 176).
