Description:   Architrave-frieze block, worked the same on both faces: with 3-step architrave, H00.06, 00.07, 00.086; crowning cyma reversa and fascia H00.088; frieze has slight compound curve H00.0165; crown H00.085, half round, fascia. Top finely picked along edge, small point along back, punch dressed in center; claw on frieze; architrave smoothly worked. Anathyrosis on lt. joint. Claw on frieze. Architrave worked smoothly.
Writing:   inscribed. Inscribed on frieze, Latin, letter H00.12: Original: ]I F A E .[
Joined: ]IVS TI F AEM[
Material:   Fine white marble.
Condition:   Complete profile. Single frgt., broken either end. Later joined, three frgts., in all: preserving full height, full thickness for left half, left joint, small part of right, missing front half of right end.
