Description: | Fragment preserving part of top fascia of architrave, cyma reversa with deeply concave-to-convex profile, crowning fascia, upper surface of which rises at angle to edge of frieze course. Face of architrave worked with claw; cyma and fascia more finely finished. From West Shops; could perhaps go with I-2003B. | |
Writing: | inscribed. Upper parts of two letters of Greek, somewhat shallowly cut in surface of architrave: Phi Diagonal stroke possibly of V. Vertical line of phi runs up to top of architrave, ending in a small V; Diagonal stroke ends c. 0.034 m below top. | |
Material: | Fine dense gray-white marble with laminating fractures. | |
Condition: | Fragment. Single frgt., preserving part of top fascia, complete crowning moulding, including top to edge of frieze course; broken all ends, top, bottom; surface of architrave abraded. | |
