Description: | Marble inscription, possibly Corinthian honorary decree, with channelled band or moulding (W. 0.005); frame and inscribed surface in same plane. The effect of relief obtained in the old way, by bevelling close to frame. Scratched horizontal guide lines for letters and also beneath them, indicating at least two more rows, diminishing in height, of letters on the stone. Letters poorly cut. | |
