Description:   Terracotta mould for head of male comic actor. Long, narrow face, good head of shorter, smooth hair coming to peak in middle. Prominent, perhaps slightly waved brows, large eyes, high, prominent cheek bones, small nose, wide, nearly closed mouth with slight grin. Wide, shortish, somewhat pointed beard. Head (H. 0.03). Solid. Handmade from model. Similar to KH-42 (inv. 44, from Deposit 4 in same building), KH-43 (inv. 45, also from Deposit 3) (Stillwell 1948, Corinth 15.1). Mask H (MMC 3rd ed.).
Decoration:   Undecorated.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with very rare fine sparkling inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10YR 7/4 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete or intact. Intact, some surface chipping, relatively crisp mould.

Period:   4th c. B.C.
