Description: | Mould for full figure, with rounded back, flat bottom edge. Impression: front half of standing figure on low square plinth, with legs together, knees slightly bent. Head sunk on breast, hands under chin. Wears high conical cap, short tunic with fitting long sleeves, stippled surface that ends above artificial phallus, looped up, short cape worn over shoulders and hanging to just above knees; fitted trousers. Head very large, forehead furrowed with heavy knot above nose, only upper lids rendered; snub nose, wide mouth, partly opened, smooth moustache and pointed beard with central part. Broad flat lip surrounds impression though not consistently flat; faint striations esp. on left edge, as if cut with string. Figurine KT 22-2 from this mould. | |
