Description:   Iron tongs with thin handles, flattened where they cross and are fastened by a single iron rivet. Round knob preserved on the end of one handle. Broad surfaces of handles on the same plane. Bars narrow again toward tips and are turned so that the broader surfaces face each other.
Material:   Iron
Condition:   Missing parts. Two non-joining frgts preserving all of tongs except for small portion of the center of one handle and knob from second handle. Corroded, but conserved.
Period:   4th c. B.C.
Chronology:   Middle of the 4th c. B.C. (Stillwell 1948, Corinth 15.1, p. 217)
