Description:   Small "skyphos" (identified in new publications as kotyle), wide shape with very broad ring foot. Edge of foot chipped before painting. Undersurface concave, with molded ring and convex central protrusion. 2 restored round horiz. Loop handles attached below rim.
Decoration:   Brownish black and brownish red paint. At rim, deep horiz. zigzag with small triangle in each space, bordered by red lines. On body, black line; outlined tongue pattern, with every fifth center omitted. Outer edge of foot black, inner red. On bottom, molded ring with red on one edge and row of black dots on top. In center, dot and two concentric lines. Interior of cup very streaky black.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay. No visible fabric.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/4 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete or intact. Complete vessel, except 2 handles. Slighlty worn paint.
