Description:   Convex pyxis with vertical rim with flat edge and slight depression at base. A slightly sloping shoulder, in fragmentary condition.
Decoration:   Conventionalizing style, Group of the Bonn Painter. Black paint, oragne brown where dilute, and red paint. Black and red band at top of shoulder, frieze of panther between palmettes. Red line and black band below. Outline partly incised of panther. Short incised ribs; large incised eyes; two incised lines on forehead. Palmettes have long central leaf and volutes end in tendrils. Swastika and corsses with dots within frieze plane.
Attributes:   Panther.
Material:   Fine pale brown clay; rare if any inclusions.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/4 (pale brown)
Condition:   Fragment. 3 frgts., preserving part of shoulder and lip; large gouge on surface; slip heavily worn in places.
