Description:   Kotyle with flaring ring foot, flat undersurface, hemispherical body, vertical tapered lip and two horizontal loop handles.
Decoration:   Middle Corinthian black-figure. Three fine and one broad concentric ring on undersurface, broad bands on vertical sides of foot. Body decorated in three friezes from bottom to top, rays, animal frieze, wavy lines bordered by line on lip. Main frieze borderd by two lines: heraldic bird and siren,each followed by a feline, one a panther, most likely also the other. Black-figure animals with incision and red-brown paint on wings, bellies, necks. Frieze filled by dots and incised rosettes of various sizes. Incision not very accurate, animal bodies elongated. Random orange stains on exterior. Interior solid black.
Material:   Very fine pale brown clay, with rare, rounded lime inclusions and rare, round voids.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Several frgts., preserving nearly whole foot, most of body; missing one handle and about 28% of rim . Small chips restored, rim RIP.
