Writing:   graffito. AI (alpha iota). Possibly abbreviation of the owner's name, incised after firing, presumably Attic-Ionic alphabet.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay. No visible inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/4 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Fragment. 1 frgt. of vessel preserving foot and part of the wall to the rim. Chipped paint.
