Description:   Plate with flat base and three short, cylindrical legs with outturned feet; straight flaring walls, low boss in center of interior, flaring nearly horizontal rim with rounded lip; reflex handle attached to lip. Shape similar to KP-603 (Stillwell and Benson 1984, Corinth 15.3, cat. 1915).
Decoration:   Four vertical incised lines on tripod foot, imitiating claws; black glaze on exterior, two concentric circles in center of base, two concentric circles at attachment point for feet, two concentric circles at edge of base and lower wall, exterior side of feet black, broad band under rim; black on interior, row of dots and zigzag framed by thick bands on rim, wall glazed black, floor decorated with a series of concentric designs; from outside to in: very thin band of brown, wide band of red, row of dots, thin band of brown, lotus palmette chain with connecting stems, two rows of short, vertical lines separated by red line and bounded by black lines, two rows of dots separated by black lines, central thick ring.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with few fine rounded inclusions and rare very fine voids.
Munsell Color:   10 YR 8/4 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Three joining frgts., preserving one foot, 70% of body, 50% of rim, and part of one handle; some flaking of glaze, especially on exterior.
