Description: | Cotyle with flaring side, curving inwards at rim, small ring foot. | |
Decoration: | Black figure style. Wide animal frieze bordered by one band above and below: on either side a large swan, l., and a goat, r. Rays at base. Inner and outer edges of foot painted. Undersurface with two concentrich circles around a central dot. Interior painted solid except for a reseved line at lip. Filling ornaments: large spoked rosettes, small and large rosettes with cross incisions. Brownish paint, applied purple. | |
Material: | Hard buff clay. Rare rounded inclusions, rare rounded voids. | |
