Description:   Pyxis lid cover with wide, horizontal rim and deeply inset tapered flange, conical body, slightly concave knob with thick shank. Similar to feeder lid from North Cemetery (Corinth 13, pl. 71: 449-1).
Decoration:   Incised groove below knob, string marks on knob. Black stripe along rim and side of knob, wide band of red between two narrow bands of red on body, ring of red on top of knob.
Material:   Very fine pale brown clay with rare inclusions and voids
Munsell Color:   Ranging between 5 YR 7/6 (reddish yellow) and 10 YR 8/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Nearly complete, missing chips at lip and knob. Glaze flaking and worn.
