Description:   Handmade horse and rider figurine; horse stands with legs spread evenly, with tail held at an upward angle. The horse's nose is extremely narrow and widens at the eyes. The ears are not distinguished from the prominent forelock, which projects above the forehead. The rider has a plain disk face and a thick applied polos. His flat, broad hands attach to the base of the horse's neck and his legs are short and broad. Similar to KT 28-140, KT 28-141, and KT 28-143 from the same deposit and KT 28-139 (Stillwell 1952, Corinth 15.2, inv. XXIII, 35) from Deposit 2 (Stillwell says Deposit 1, but the notebook reference confirms Deposit 2).
Decoration:   White slip over all, traces of red pigment on rider.
Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay with few small inclusions and few small voids
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Missing parts. Six joining frgts preserving all of figure except tip of tail and frgts of legs; white slip and pigment poorly preserved
