Description:   Handmade seated dove. Body hollow underneath. Tail long, narrow, and tapering to blunt point. Feet separated in front but continue line of lower edge of body at sides. Large, conical beak and short neck.
According to Stillwell (1954, Corinth 15.2, cat. 15, p. 186): "This figure representes the least possible amount of modelling compatible with the production of a recognizable bird."
Very similar to KT 41-50, found in the North Room of the Terracotta Factory. Style of decoration similar to horses from Deposit 1 from the Terracotta Factory (KT 28-139).
Decoration:   White slip over all. Red paint preserved on beak and right leg.
Material:   Fine pink clay with rare fine inclusions and rare fine voids.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 7/4 (pink)
Condition:   Complete or intact. Complete; white slip and red paint poorly preserved.
Manufacture:   F17 HM
Period:   4th c. B.C.
