Description:   Head of a female figure with severe expression. Hair modeled and heavey. Large nose, eyes and mouth lightly indicated. High polos on head. Thick, not hollowed on back. Probably from the same mould as KT 9-68. Possibly from a sphinx--see KT 49-2.
Material:   Light reddish brown clay with few small inclusions and few linear voids
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/4 (light reddish brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Preserving head and polos. Broken at neck.

Chronology:   2nd half of the 5th c. B.C. or later (Stillwell and Benson 1984, Corinth 15.3, p. 212).
