Description:   Type XXVII lamp with flat bottom with 2 framing grooves, deep echinoid body, broad rim rising slightly to deep concave disk with small central fill hole; airhole at base of nozzle; small nozzle with flat panel on top. Vertical lug handle pierced.
Decoration:   Rim: panels on horizontal axis, incised herringbone, grooves framing panels and nozzle. disk: rosette with 11 petals, tips of which double-lobed. 3 grooves on handle. Dull red-brown slip over all.
Writing:   inscribed. Inscribed in mould on bottom, Greek: KRAUGA.O restored KRAUGASO
Material:   Fine pale brown clay with rare white and sparkling inclusions, with smooth and laminating fractures.
Munsell Color:   Clay: 7.5YR 6/4 Slip: 5YR 4/3 to 5YR 5/6
Condition:   Complete profile. Four joining frgts., preserving complete except for 1/4 body on right side and half nozzle. Slip worn; burning on nozzle.
