Description:   Lamp with flaring body, narrow flat rim, concave disk, surrounded by flat offset band; edge of small fill hole, near lower lt. edge of disk.; volute nozzle, of which base of one volute preserved.
Decoration:   Disk decorated in low relief with standing central figure (Polyphemus), with stringy hair, beard, facing lt.; rt. hand extended out to side, in lt. holds fallen man (Odysseus) by his lt. arm; of this half upper half of torso to head, both arms. Cf. Fremersdorf, p. 129, fig. 82, and pl. III, A-B; Loeschke, p. 422, fig. 33.

Material:   Fine pale yellow-gray clay with rare tiny black inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Near 2.5Y 7/3
Condition:   Fragment. Nine joining frgts., preserving nearly half lamp from above bottom, with one volute of nozzle. In existing half of disk, large hole. Burning on nozzle.Traces of black glaze.
