Description:   Lamp with flaring body, pared mould seam, broad flt rim, shallow concave disk surrounded by 2 rings, with small fill hole off-center at 3:00. Small hair hole in rings, raised panel around wick hole, framed by grooves, solid lug handle partly pierced.
Decoration:   Rim: herringbone, broken by panel with herringbone; disk: baby Eros, ascending steps to an altar to rt., blowing a flute. Handle: 3 grooves on top, 2 on bottom.
Mythology:   Eros
Material:   Moderately fine light brown clay with frequent fine brown inclusions, fewer white.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 6/4
Condition:   Fragment. Right half of lamp top and upper body, complete handle, nozzle except for tip. Heavy burning on nozzle.
