Description:   Lamp with flat bottom framed by groove, echinoid body, broad nearly flat rim with 2 panels; plastic ring framing deep concave disk; off-center fill hole at ca. 9:00; tiny airhole in edge of disk; U-shaped nozzle framed by raised panel. Vertical pierced lug handle, 2 grooves down back, handle ends above bottom.
Decoration:   Rim: impressed tongues; disk: bust of Sarapis in profile to rt.; wears low kalathos, long hair, bearded, draped.
Writing:   stamp. Faint traces of illegible inscription.
Mythology:   Sarapis
Material:   Fine pinkish buff clay, rare sparkling inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Yellower than 7.5YR 6/4
Condition:   Complete or intact. Intact; surface flaking. Burning on nozzle.
