Description:   Broneer type XXVII lamp with flat base, echinoid body, wide rim, deep straight-sided disk with a fill hole, small oval air hole at base of nozzle, vertical lug handle, pierced. As L 4189 (Corinth XVIII.2, p. 28, no. 20, pl. 2).
Decoration:   Base marked off from body with groove, ovule pattern around rim, disk has raised, flat framing ring set off by grooves and rays to level of fill hole, two framing rings around fill hole, nozzle marked off from rim by grooves and raised slightly from the plane of the rim, grooves in front and back of handle. As L 4189 (Corinth XVIII.2, p. 28, no. 20, pl. 2).
Writing:   inscribed. On base in Greek EPAGATHOY as CL 178, 242, 221 (Corinth IV.2, p. 188, nos. 557, 558, 559, pl. XXX).
Material:   Fine yellow clay with rare medium white and dark brown inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10YR 7/6 (yellow) (before paraloid).
Condition:   Complete profile. Several joining fragments, preserving complete base, almost all of body except for small hole, 2/3 of shoulder, missing nozzle, complete handle. Very worn.
