Description:   Type XXI lamp with flat base with a slightly raised ring all around, ovoid body, sloping shoulder with two raised rings, handle attachment, vertical strap handle ribbed on back attached at bottom of handle attachment and at mid body. Identical to CL 176 (Corinth IV.2, p. 167, no. 383, pl. VIII).
Decoration:   Black slipped overall exterior and dripping on interior. In relief on handle attachment a slipknot framed by spirals at the bottom and topped by a palmette decorated with rosettes and cables, volutes on nozzle and floral designs on the necks. Identical to CL 176 (Corinth IV.2, p. 167, no. 383, pl. VIII).
Material:   Fine gray clay with few medium rounded black, dark brown, white, and frequent medium silver mica inclusions.
Munsell Color:   2.5Y 5/1 (gray)
Condition:   Fragment. Nine joining fragments preserving one fourth of base and body, small part of shoulder, beginning of handle attachment, complete handle. Glaze well-preserved.
