Description:   Broneer Type XXII lamp with flat base with shallow framing ring, oblique wall curving to vertical at top, narrow, inward sloping rim, deep concave disk with central air hole. No handle. Similar to L-73-25 (Corinth XVIII.2, p. 27, no. 14, pl. 1).
Decoration:   Red to dark brown glaze over all exterior and interior, grooves on rim turn into narrow chanel on top of nozzle, volutes between nozzle and rim, on disk in relief gradiator's weapons: on right and left side curved daggers framing unidentified weapon in center on two opposite sides of fill hole. Similar to L 1450 (Corinth IV.2, p. 173, no. 427, pl. XXV).
Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay with rare medium white and dark brown, few small sparkling inclusions and rare voids.
Munsell Color:   Clay: 7.5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow), Glaze: 2.5YR 6/8 (light red)
Condition:   Complete profile. Five joining fragments preserving base, half of body, most of the rim and disk, missing nozzle. Glaze worn off.
