Description:   Broneer Type XIX or XXI lamp with flat rim and possibly two rounded nozzles with plastic bridge in form of human face. Similar to CL 1449 (Corinth IV.2, no. 370, fig. 31) or CL 176 (Corinth IV.2, no. 383, plate VIII).
Decoration:   Black glaze on exterior, partially on interior; on nozzle bridge relief face with archaizing features, big oval eyes with pupils distinctly enclosed within almond shaped outline, continuous eyebrows, long nose with flattened nostrils, fleshy parted lips, thick chin; strands of hair indicated by small incised parallel lines, gathered at center of forehead in a nodus; at ear level hair ends with four perpendicular parallel lines; fasciae of doted lozenges running horinzontally, maeander-like motifs, doted lozenges running perpendicularly, and row of raised dots radiate from head concentrically; raised dots decorate space between lozenge and maeander-like fasciae and space above head, outlining it.
Material:   Fine light gray clay with rare medium to large sub-rounded spherical white and few medium rounded spherical black inclusions.

Condition:   Fragment. Three joining fragments preserve part of left wall of nozzle and bridge. Non-joining frgts in NB 978, B 11, 36, 37, 41, 46, and 50.
