Description:   Miniature lamp with flat base, convex body with rounded horizontal rim. Large round fill hole, short broad nozzle with large oval wick hole at tip. Similar to type IV lamp without handle L-4126, L-4129 and L-1976-30 (Hesperia 54, p. 297, no. 12, pl. 297).
Decoration:   Black glaze all over.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with rare small round spherical brown inclusions, rare fine voids.
Munsell Color:   Surface: 10 YR 8/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete or intact. Two joining frgt., preserving complete lamp, except for one small chip on nozzle; surface blackened on base and nozzle.

Period:   Classical
Chronology:   Type IV lamps date 6th-4th c. B.C., L-4129 dates to 4th c. B.C. based on context.
