Description:   Terracotta anthropomorphic lamp. Flat bottom, globular body in the shape of moldmade negro head made of two casts joined horizontally. On top half, strands of hair, bushy triangular eye-brows, deeply set eyes, wide nose, thick mustache, rounded cheeks; molded hair or scales (?) and beard (?) on bottom half. Long outflaring nozzle is formed by mouth and looks like face is blowing. Small fill hole on top, high swung vertical strap handle at back of head. Facial features similar to Agora VI, p. 73, no. 908, L 1044, pl. 24.
Material:   Fine greenish gray clay.
Munsell Color:   1 Gley 6/1 10Y (greenish gray)
Condition:   Missing parts. Complete except for nozzle and handle, black glaze worn.
