Description:   Lamp,Broneer type XXXI, with vertical ring foot, carinated body, flat rim, concave disk with fill hole in center and air hole of similar but slightly smaller size on center line between fill hole and nozzle, vertical lug handle.
Decoration:   Stamped palm branch on either side of rim with base of branch toward handle and tip toward nozzle, base and tip of each branch terminates in circle with center dot. Cross on disk with slightly flaring arms, circle with center dot attached to each exterior corner of arm at end. Circle with center dot on interior of each arm with three dots surrounding; third dot cut off by fill hole on two of the arms. Unglazed. Cf. L 1969 205.
Material:   Fine red clay, with frequent medium subrounded inclusions, frequent medium to large voids.
Munsell Color:   2.5YR 5/6 (red)
Condition:   Complete profile. Single fragment preserves intact lamp except for tip of nozzle, back of handle, and small portion of base. Traces of burning around wick hole.
