Description:   Moldmade, Broneer Type XXXI lamp. Circular ring foot with raised rib between foot and handle, convex body, broad, flat rim, slightly concave disk with central fill hole, framing ring, lug handle, no hole. Cf. L 4376.
Decoration:   On disk, square around fill hole, with semicircles on four sides, filled with dots. On rim, alternating rosettes, ivy leaves, and nested squares, surrounded by hatched framing ring. Concentric circles at center of base. Cf. L 4376, L 1969-175.
Material:   Very hard reddish yellow clay, with frequent large white inclusions.
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Complete profile. Single fragment, half of lamp preserved including handle, 40% of rim and body, 60% of base, no nozzle.
Manufacture:   MM
Period:   Late Roman (5th -6th c AD)
Chronology:   Identical to L 4376, must have come from same mold. For L-1969-175, context is 6th century.
