Description:   Moldmade terracotta lamp, Broneer Type XXIX Group 1. Round base with raised base ring, convex body, sloping rim, handle continues onto body of lamp. Poor seam line between molds, attempted to smooth with spatula or other device. Cf. Broneer, Corinth 4.2, cat. 1415.
Decoration:   Rays on rim, two transverse grooves on handle on body.
Writing:   stamp and inscribed. Raised signature written clockwise around circular base, transferred to the lamp from being scratched in the mold, two-thirds preserved. Broneer reconstructs as ΘΑΥΜΑCIC (Corinth 4.2, cat. 1413-1418); see also Garnett, Hesperia 44.2, fig. 1.24.
Material:   Hard, reddish yellow clay with common white inclusions, micaceous, no slip, granular breaks.
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. 1 fragment, preserving half of base and small part of handle and rim, with nothing of disk or nozzle. Partially broken along mold seam.
