Decoration: | Rim: four groups of 3 large dots on each half of rim. disk: in relief: gladiatorial scene: at lt., hoplomachus kneeling on lt. knee, body front, head turned to rt., straight sword in rt. hand, shield on lt.; at rt. thrax moves to rt., looking back, with long curved sword in rt. hand, shield on lt. | |
Material: | Fine heavy pale pinkish buff clay with frequent sparkling inclusions, rare lime and at least one red inclusion. | |
