Description:   Type XXVII lamp with channel on rim, groove surrounding shallow concave disk with fill hole to rt. of center. Two channels from disk to nozzle.
Decoration:   In relief on disk: Orpheus seated, to rt., holding lyre in lt. hand on knees, rt. with plectrum, head thrown back. Draped in himation covering lt. shoulder, lower torso and legs. Is seated on a rock, with border of animals, from bottom lt., clockwise: ox, horse, deer, snake, crane, dove (?), fox (?), ape, sheep (?) and crab. Last two missing piece.
Material:   Fine buff clay with self slip.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/3
Condition:   Fragment. Two joining frgts., 3/4 disk and small part of rim, base of nozzle. Note: old glue on one edge.
