Description:   Lamp with flat bottom, convex flaring body, heavy mould joint, broad flat rim with groove on exterior and 2 framing disk, concave disk with off-center fill hole, air hole at edge of disk, articulated nozzle with large wick hole. Solid lug handle.
Decoration:   Bottom: incised rosette, partly smeared, in a circle, surrounded by herringbone. Rim: impressed circles alternating with crosses, becoming herringbone at base of nozzle; disk: wavy lines impressed at edge only; 2 incised lines framing nozzle. Handle: 2 grooves on top with herringbone, two rows of dots on lower half; at base, 3 impressed circles to either side, 2 incised lines framing either side of underside of nozzle. As L-XXXX 2859.
Material:   Semi-fine light brown clay with rare fine white and some sparkling inclusions.

Condition:   Complete or intact. Intact. Burning on nozzle.
