Description:   Lamp with tear-drop shaped top and round base. Disk: concave with ring around filling hole,airhole between disk and nozzle. Solid handle grooved on top and bottom. Cf. Agora VII, no. 1615 except for nozzle which is like no. 1848. No trace of burning on nozzle.
Decoration:   On rim: herringbone; disk: 14 rays with dimpled tips and framing ring. Hatched bar separates rim from nozzle.
Writing:   inscribed. Mold inscribed within base rings: EY/KAR/POY in Greek
Material:   Hard fired reddish brown fabric with occasional angular marl(?). Thin reddish brown glaze.
Munsell Color:   Clay: 2.5YR 6/4 Slip: 2.5YR 5/4-5/3-6/3
Condition:   Complete profile. 11 joining frgts., complete except for small pieces missing from base and underside of nozzle.No burning on nozzle.
