Description:   Lamp Type XXVIII. Handle with hole begun on each side but not bored through.
Decoration:   Pinkish brown glaze. Nozzle with single groove on each side; handle with double groove. Rim divided by groove into two bands: outer band plain, inner band with wavy lines, raised dots. Herring bone pattern on side panels. Disk shows erotic symplegma: man reclining on couch, resting on left elbow, right hand over head. Woman seated grasping her waist with both hands. Small column behind on which stands cantharus. Heart-shaped design on lower end of handle. Base ring indicated by double groove.
Writing:   inscribed. Base ring with two letters (lambda, epsilon) inscribed.
Material:   Red clay.
Condition:   Complete profile. Single frgt., preserving complete profile; part of bottom broken away.
