Title:   MOLDMADE LAMP WITH SACRIFICE OF ISAAC

Description:   Lamp with low base ring, straight sides to body, and broad flat rim. Two fill holes, one to the lower left of the figural representation, the other to the upper right. disk is slightly concave. Channel to long nozzle with large wick hole and air hole in channel.
Broneer Type XXXI. Similar, though smaller, than L-4069, L-69-146, L-70-13, L-72-6. Similar in size to L-69-25 and L-596.
Decoration:   On rim, circles alternating with patterns of stars and diamonds. In discus, scene of the Sacrifice of Isaac. Abraham in center, striding right with large sword held over head in right hand, left hand above Isaac's head. Above Isaac, a palm branch. Behind Abraham, a small ram, above which the hand of God points toward.
Similar to L-596, L-4069, L-69-25, L-69-146, L-70-13, and L-72-6.
Material:   hard clay with frequent small white inclusions
Munsell Color:   7.5 YR 5/3 (brown)
Condition:   Complete or intact. Complete lamp with slight wear on base. Traces of burning around nozzle. Unglazed.
